An exceptional concert with Maxim Vengerov, regarded as one of the great legends of the violin in recent decades. Admired for the depth of his interpretations, his astonishing technique, and an extraordinary musicality, Vengerov tackles Sibelius' Violin Concerto, one of the most demanding and fascinating works in the entire violin repertoire. The program is completed with the brilliant Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila by Glinka and the luminous Symphony No. 8 by Dvořák, one of the most inspired and optimistic scores by the Czech composer.
